PTISM dry carbon front strut tower bar for GR Yaris Gen2

Overview

According to the product release, PTISM uses a two-piece structural approach at both the front and rear of the GR Yaris Gen2 program. The design selects more appropriate load paths on the body and connects the chassis with a more considered balance of rigidity and finish.

Rather than relying on a simple metal brace formula, PTISM positions the carbon shaft as a way to improve steering response while preserving a calmer, more controlled behavior near the limit.

Key Features

  • Dry carbon center shaft for lower weight and stronger visual quality.
  • CNC-machined aluminum base sections with selected pocketing for weight reduction.
  • Titanium fasteners to complete the lightweight hardware package.
  • Platform-specific geometry developed for the GXPA16 engine bay.

Engineering Intent

PTISM highlights the damping behavior of the carbon shaft as a core advantage over conventional metal reinforcement parts. The stated goal is to reduce small road-surface vibration and harsh tremors while still adding a more direct handling feel.

Installation Notes

The Word document notes that tower-top hardware dimensions may differ depending on the suspension brand fitted to the vehicle. Installers should confirm bolt length and thread specifications before final assembly and adjust to real vehicle conditions if required.
